Quick Start

Add UrlImage script to your UI Image.

Set URLPath in the inspector and call the LoadDefaultPath method.

OR set url by calling SetPath method.

Spinner is added automatically and url is added to loadQueue

Spinners

By default URL Image Pro uses procedural UrlImagePro/Spinner material for the spinner.

It is a procedural material, it’s lightweight and reliable.

You can also use custom ui graphic for a spinner. Set Spinner.Graphic field in the inspector.

By default Unity rebuilds layout when graphic is rotated, to avoid that you can use UrlImagePro/Spinner Sprite material. This material rotates sprite with a custom shader.

Rounded Corners

To add rounded corners set Image material property to material with shader UrlImagePro/Corners

Roundness - Range from fully round image to sharp rectangle corners
Smoothness - Sets how sharp borders are. Decrease if the borders appear blurry, increase if borders are aliased.

Custom Handler

In case you want to mix url resources with custom sprites you can intercept the loading process by creating a custom handler. To create the handler implement IUrlImageHandler interface and set UrlImage.UrlImageHandler property.

Method IUrlImageHandler.Load is called before adding the url to the load queue.

If the method returns true, the url is not added to the queue so you can launch your custom loading routine. To apply the result sprite call urlImage.ApplySprite(Sprite sprite) method.

Logs

By default logs are enabled. You can disable them by setting UrlImage.LogsEnabled

to false.

Proxy

Sometimes you may wish to proxy every url call, for example when hosting WebGL builds and proxy CORS restricted calls through your own server. You can use UrlImage.UrlProxy delegate for that
